Welcome to East Anstey Primary School
We are a small village primary school in rural North Devon. Together with our sister school (Bishops Nympton), we form the Exmoor Link Federation. Our community school takes children from 2 years up to 11 years (incorporating our excellent purpose built nursery unit) and runs the exciting and innovative Primary Learning Pathways curriculum. We are rated as a Good Provider by Ofsted and work closely with our partners to provide a unique educational experience. Our drivers are Standards, Skills, Experience and Confidence and it is our goal to give all of our children the primary education needed to prepare them for 21st Century life. Proposed Conversion to Academy Status & Joining TEAM Multi-Academy Trust
The Exmoor Link Federation brings together two vibrant, rural primary schools—Bishops Nympton Primary School and East Anstey Primary School. Both schools have a long history of high-quality education, strong community links, and dedicated staff.
Following careful evaluation of the educational landscape and our long-term leadership and operational needs, the Governing Board evaluated several strategic options. After rigorous due diligence, Governors formally resolved to pursue joining TEAM Multi-Academy Trust (TEAM).
TEAM MAT is a local, North Devon-based trust consisting of rural and community primary schools (including High Bickington, Witheridge, Umberleigh, Brayford, Beaford, and Pilton Bluecoat). TEAM shares our values, prioritises rural small-school provision, and has a proven track record of nurturing school distinctiveness while offering robust central support and rich collaborative opportunities for pupils and staff.
